Disenchanting Salmu

For this site-specific installation the artist has appropriated images of clay tablets with cuneiform inscriptions produced at the ancient Mesopotamia, today Iraq.
Many of them have been stolen from the Museum of Iraq and looted from several archeological sites as consequence of the U.S. invasion. They were taken from the internet and transformed into
photo-lithography printed at

The sound, in collaboration with
Paul Geluso, was designed for four channels and hydrophone inside the water.
